Dr. Omar Felipe Gaytán Fuentes

General, Bariatric, Metabolic, Laparoscopic, and Robotic Surgery

Dr. Omar Felipe Gaytán Fuentes is a surgeon specializing in general, bariatric, and metabolic surgery, with extensive clinical, surgical, and academic experience.

He earned his Medical Degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and completed his specialty training in General Surgery at PEMEX Central North Hospital. He also completed a Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery, endorsed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and carried out at the National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre” (ISSSTE), one of the country’s leading hospitals for highly specialized surgical care.

He has combined more than 17 years of surgical experience with the use of cutting-edge technology, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge is reflected in numerous scientific publications in national and international journals and articles.

He has also demonstrated a strong commitment to medical education, serving as an instructor in specialty training programs for medical students, residents, and surgeons in both Mexico and abroad.

Dr. José Luis Castillo

Specialist in Internal Medicine and Comprehensive Adult Care

Dr. José Luis Castillo is a specialist in Internal Medicine, with a focus on comprehensive adult care and the management of complex medical conditions. His practice centers on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, metabolic disorders, respiratory conditions, and systemic diseases, providing a personalized and comprehensive approach to every patient.

He completed his specialty training at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds current board certification from the Mexican Council of Internal Medicine (2025–2030). He is also an active member of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) and the European Confederation of Medical Mycology (ECMM).

His greatest strength lies in comprehensive medical evaluation, focused on identifying the underlying cause of symptoms, even in patients with multiple health conditions. This approach allows him to establish accurate diagnoses and evidence-based treatments that help prevent complications and improve quality of life.

Dr. Antonio Torres Trejo

General Surgeon

Dr. Antonio Torres Trejo is a General Surgeon with an extensive and distinguished medical, academic, and hospital career, supported by more than four decades of experience in highly specialized surgical care.

He earned his medical degree from the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) and later completed his specialty training in General Surgery at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), based at the PEMEX Central North Hospital.

Throughout his career, he has held several important leadership positions within the Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) healthcare system, including:

• Chief of General Surgery at the PEMEX Regional Hospital in Minatitlán, Veracruz
• Associate Professor in the training of rotating medical interns
• Chief of General Surgery at the PEMEX Central North Hospital in Mexico City
• Lead Professor of the General Surgery Residency Training Program
• Specialty Consultation Coordinator
• Director of the PEMEX General Hospital in Tula, Hidalgo

As part of his commitment to continuing education, he has attended numerous national and international conferences and recently completed a Diploma Program in Robotic Surgery of the Digestive System at the National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre” (ISSSTE) (2024–2025).

Tapia García

Clinical and Bariatric Psychology

Mtra. Alessandra del Carmen Tapia García is a psychologist who graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds a Master’s Degree in Criminology from the Institute for Professional Training and Higher Studies (IFPES) of the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CDMX).

Her professional training encompasses a wide range of therapeutic approaches and methodologies, including Gestalt psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), thanatology (grief counseling), gender perspective, management of anxiety crises and depression, violence intervention, and the study of psychological trauma and the impact of crime. Her expertise also includes eating disorders, human rights, and total quality management. Additionally, her experience extends to emergency psychology, public safety, and university teaching, further strengthening her ability to provide effective intervention in complex situations.

Mtra. Tapia is distinguished by her empathetic, professional, and evidence-based approach to patient care, focused on gaining a deep understanding of each individual case and providing practical tools to improve emotional well-being. Her work is dedicated to helping patients manage their emotions, strengthen their mental health, and restore balance in their daily lives.

Lic. Jessica Paola Vázquez Aguilar

Clinical and Bariatric Nutrition

Lic. Jessica Vázquez is a nutritionist who graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Tecnológico de Monterrey), with specialized training in the comprehensive management of patients with metabolic diseases and in sports nutrition.

She holds a Diploma in Diabetes Education, endorsed by the Mexican Diabetes Federation, as well as a Diploma in Sports Nutrition from the Mexican Federation of Sports Nutrition in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee. This training enables her to provide an up-to-date, evidence-based approach to patient care.

She currently participates in research protocols at the Mexican Center for Clinical Development Studies (CEMDEC), focusing on populations with overweight, obesity, and type 2 diabetes, further strengthening her clinical practice through cutting-edge scientific knowledge. Her approach is centered on achieving long-term adherence to treatment and incorporating tools such as mindfulness and self-compassion, helping patients develop a healthier relationship with food.

Heriberto Ponce García

Comprehensive Physical Conditioning and Body Assessment Trainer

Heriberto Ponce García is a trainer focused on comprehensive physical development, with extensive experience in cardiovascular training, functional training, and physical conditioning.

He holds Cycle Reebok Level 1 and Level 2 certifications from Reebok University and Sport City University, as well as training in functional and suspension training, enabling him to design dynamic, effective exercise programs tailored to different fitness levels.

He further complements his expertise with a Diploma in Nutrition and Sports Anthropometry from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, integrating physical training with sound nutritional guidance to optimize results.

Throughout his career, he has participated in specialized workshops with renowned organizations and brands such as Grupo Martí, Adidas, and Universidad La Salle, further enhancing his expertise in areas including power training, speed development, plyometrics, and rope training.

His approach is centered on helping each individual achieve their goals safely, progressively, and sustainably, while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
